Jaya Prakash Pradhan
 

Jaya Prakash Pradhan is an Associate Professor at the Sardar Patel Institute of Economic & Social Research (SPIESR), Ahmedabad. Dr. Pradhan received his Ph.D. in economics of foreign direct investment in 2005 from Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi. He holds M.Phil (Economics) degree from the J.N.U. and M.A. (Economics) degree from University of Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh. Besides the SPIESR, he has served on the faculties of Institute for Studies in Industrial Development, New Delhi and Gujarat Institute of Development Research, Ahmadabad, and earlier a consultant to the Research and Information System for Developing Countries, New Delhi. He has been involved in research projects sponsored by the Department of Scientific and Industrial Research under the Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India and the United Nations Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), Geneva. Published over thirty research papers and four books on Indian multinationals, internationalization of Indian pharmaceutical SMEs, and industrialization and regional development, his current research focuses on issues concerning emerging Indian multinationals and internationalization of India’s knowledge-based industries.
