Research Projects
     

The Institute has undertaken several research projects financed by the central and state governments. Planning Commission, Indian Council of Social Science Research and international agencies like the European Community, Ford Foundation. FAO (Rome), Indo-Dutch Programmes, etc.


The studies cover wide ranging areas of theoretical and applied economics. Most relevant subjects are selected for detailed study and each one of them has direct policy implication. Apart from studies focused on the Gujarat economy, there are many research projects relating to national and international themes.


The Institute has been identified as lead Institute for Gujarat by the Department of Elementary Education and Literacy, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government in monitoring the National Programme for Universalisation of Elementary Education under Sarva Shikhsha Abhiyan.
